Playgrounds bring joy, learning  and fun  to many children.  Unfortunately, however they can also bring with them the risk of injury.

Standards New Zealand in 2004 with support from the Ministry of Education released standards for New Zealand Playgrounds,
NZS5828:2004 - New Zealand Standard Playground Equipment and Surfacing.

The standards were introduced to help playground manufacturers, operators and owners significantly reduce playground injury rates on playgrounds.

Playground inspections are  recommended annually to assess the overall safety to the  New Zealand Standard NZS5828:2004— Playground equipment and surfacing against the playground standard

We are  able to carry out annual inspections to NZS5828:2004 by a RPII Level 3 Inspector.


A compliance inspection is a detailed report on your playground(s) that is a full inventory and inspection of all the equipment in your playground.  Issues are identified and risked assessed issues with recommendations supplied.  Please contact us to discuss your requirements and to view a sample report.
